A Large CSR Project of ONGC and Rotary for Cooper Hospital

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 9: Rotary Club of Mumbai West Coast is celebrating its Silver Jubilee 25th year in 2021-22. On the occasion of World Health Day, 7 April 2022, Rotary club of Mumbai West Coast in association with CSR initiative of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) handed over various advanced equipments to Dr R. N. Cooper Municipal Hospital & HBT Medical College to upgrade various departments of the hospital. Dr R.N. Cooper Municipal Hospital is one of the main tertiary care hospitals in western suburb where more than one lakh patients visit every year. Thanks to this CSR contribution by ONGC, the Club donated equipments like Fully Automated Coagulometer, Infant radiant warmer, multipara monitors, NST machines, Defibrillator, ECG machines. These much needed medical instruments will help to reduce turnaround time for the advanced tests and assist in early diagnosis and early treatment for poor patients. Blood tests which have to be done in private laboratories will now be done in-house in the hospital. Such investigations and lifesaving treatments are at present not available for these poor patients.

The Handing Over Ceremony was conducted in the august presence of Chief Guest Rotary District Governor Dr Rajendra Agarwal, Past District Governor Dr BalkrishnaInamdar, Guest of Honour and Renowned Psychiatrist Dr Harish Shetty, Executive Director of ONGC Mr Vijay Raj, Dr S. S. Shenoy DGM medical services ONGC, Dean Dr Shailesh Mohite and his Team, Ms Debasmita Nath and Mr Kiran Nikam from ONGC, Rotary President Vishal Mundra and Chair Dr. Neelam Navagare. Ceremony was attended by many Doctors, Medical students, Rotarians and ONGC officials.
