New Delhi [India], May 5: On the evening of April 19th, the Science City Auditorium became the epicenter of a musical homecoming that transcended time, genres, and generations. “ Ami Bhalobashi Bangla Ke – Nabo Borsher Maha Jalsha” was not just a concert—it was a phenomenon that etched itself into Bengal’s cultural calendar as a tribute to legacy, love, and the land that births brilliance.

Conceived by Alive India and Aurko, the concert celebrated 25 musical years of Aurko and 15th year of Alive India  Indias First Artist Driven Music  Production House  marked the launch of Alive India’s ambitious Bengal Chapter Bhalobashi Bangla with a Multi City  Concert Series ” Ami Bhalobashi Bangla Ke ”  with the Kolkata Launch like a ” We are the World ” of Bengalis United for a Cause of Changing Lives Through Music,  Conceived & Curated by Bangalores Pioneer & Premier Band AURKO formed by Supratiek Ghosh to Celebrate Aurko’s 25th year In Aug 2025

A first-of-its-kind live musical experience united legends and luminaries from Bengal, Bengaluru, Bollywood and beyond  in a resounding celebration of Unmatched Bengali musical excellence In Indian Music Scene from time memorial till date .

A Musical Milestone

The stage was a melting pot of seven distinct Bengali genres—Folk, Film, Non-Film, Traditional, Jeebon Mukhi, Band, and Bengalis in Bollywood—stitched together through 10 powerful soundscapes. With 25+ incredible artists, it was a night where music echoed louder than ever before.

The energy was electric, the emotion was raw, and the celebration was unforgettable.

A Line-Up That Lit Up the Night

– Living Legend Nachiketa Chakraborty delivered timeless truths through his anthemic Jeebon Mukhi Gaan—every word, a wave of nostalgia.

– Film Icon Kharaj Mukherjee made a Super engaging Apprearence in the show with wit, warmth, and ” Bangla Natoker gaan ”  leaving behind  unforgettable moments of Nostalgia ,  humour and soul.

– Trumpet Maestro Kishore Sodha turned back time with sonic memories of Bollywood’s golden era.

– Upal Sengupta & Anindya Chatterjee of Charismatic  Chandrabindu electrified the crowd with their signature lyrical wit and melody.

Unstoppable – Durnibar Saha, with his intense stage presence, had the crowd roaring with every note.

– Folk Star Tirtha Bhattacharjee showcased a rare purity and grace in her performance.

– Folk Star Raju Das Baul brought rustic, spiritual energy straight from the soil of Bengal.

– Nibedita Pradhan, the powerhouse voice and a symbol of sheer grit, left the audience spellbound with her originals.

– Ankita Kundu, Arpita Dey, Sourav Ghosh, Jimut Roy, and  Aurko’s frontman Supratiek Ghosh each brought their unique brilliance to the stage.

And just when the audience thought the night had reached its peak, Raghab Chatterjee made a surprise appearance, joining Nachiketa for a heartfelt duet that moved the entire auditorium to tears.

Of the Musicians, By the Musicians, For the Musicians & Music Lovers

This wasn’t just about performance—it was about purpose. The concert doubled as the flagship fundraiser for the Alive India Music Foundation under the #SingToSave movement.

All proceeds support the “Roti, Kapda, Makaan aur Rozgaar” initiative, which offers 3 years of free residential training, studio access, and live performance opportunities to financially challenged yet exceptionally talented musicians across India.

Legacy, Lights & Love: A Night Etched in Memory

From tributes to legends like Salil Chowdhury and Gauri Prasanna Majumdar,  on their Birth Centenary to a historic celebration of 50 years of Mohiner Ghoraguli for the First time in Kolkata  through Aurko’s rousing rendition of “Dariyay Ailo Tufan,” the concert paid homage to those who shaped Bengal’s sonic soul.

Backed by a brilliant crew of over 30 artists, musicians, and technicians, the night was a testament to collaboration—lighting lamps not just on stage, but in hearts.

This was also the grand on-ground launch of Alive India’s Bengal Chapter, part of a larger vision to take Bangla music to the world with the upcoming Bhalobashi Bangla Ke Multi-City Live & Digital Series.
